Our world’s bee population has been declining drastically. These important pollinators are vital to the health of our planet, more specifically our agriculture, and we are going to do our part to help. We teamed up with Wolf+Bear to bring their design to life on apparel, and proceeds from the sales of this shirt will be donated to the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign in their fight to save the bees! (See their write-up on their inspiration below.) Printed on a women’s cut muscle tank, this flattering style and design is sure to make a statement.

The inspiration behind the artwork: “My husband and I were inspired to create this design (along with a few others) when we noticed a dramatic decrease in honeybees on my parents’ sustainable farm. Growing up, I remember hearing their constant buzz in the clover at my feet, but in recent years they’ve just been absent. We wanted to bring attention to their decline, but also do something to help them out. Thus, the Pollinator Collection was born. For each product purchased, we set aside 10% for our pollinator garden. Now wildbird threads has come on board with her apparel, which will also help support friendly pollinators by donating a percentage to NAPPC!
For this design, I decided to mix watercolor and Micron pen for a bit of fun contrast. The bee really stands out from the apple blossoms (one of the many types of flowers we have on my parents’ farm!). I used wet on dry technique to get lots of detail into the bee, and then a combination of simple line and dot work for the Micron pen blossoms.
By making a purchase, you’re not just getting a lovely little design, you’re helping out some of the most important creatures on the Planet!”
