There are so many to choose from! The ski trip gone awry in Vermont, the other ski trip that was more like a spring hiking (with skis on my back) trip in the San Juans, the white water rafting trip on the Arkansas where I came out with a black …

There are so many to choose from! The ski trip gone awry in Vermont, the other ski trip that was more like a spring hiking (with skis on my back) trip in the San Juans, the white water rafting trip on the Arkansas where I came out with a black eye and maybe a mild concussion, or maybe it was the 4th of July hike into Chihuahua Gulch with all of our fishing gear only to find the alpine lake was still frozen, or the same hike on a different day across alpine scree field with lighting-filled skies.

How does nature and/or outdoor adventuring inspire your art?

They are the reason I picked up a camera in the first place and continue to carry it along my travels.

What is your most prized gear?

I would have to say my camera…I take it everywhere and it’s what helps capture moments so when the memories fade, I’m still able to find reminders of past trips.

What is your favorite place to get outside? (or a favorite National Park?)

I love fishing and exploring the Rio Grande through southern CO’s Rio Grande National Forest, but my go-to backyard National Park is Great Sand Dunes.
