I accidentally spent a night stuck in a cold cave, spooning two smelly men, wrapped in a trash bag and climbing rope to stay warm.

How does nature and/or outdoor adventuring inspire your art?

I initially started drawing because I was a photographer and I didn’t want to let the photos I missed escape completely, so I drew them instead. Now I draw the things I love to do in the mountains.

Anyone who might have limited time to play outside, but still goes out, and makes the absolute most of the time they do have.

What music accompanies you outdoors?

I don’t listen to much music outside. But on the drive I do love Janelle Monae and Josh Ritter. And I sing a lot of Taylor Swift while working outside.

Any little chunk of mountains in Idaho that’s unassuming from the highway but incredible once you get in a few miles.
